How to Glue Copper

Glue Ireland

Copper is a reasonably easy metal to glue and if you are in Ireland, and looking for copper glue, either for general purpose applications, electronics or industrial manufacturing, we have both copper glues and copper sealants for most applications.

Copper is a highly-conductive, corrosion resistant and ductile metal which is easily bonded by acrylics or epoxy resins. Superglue (cyanoacrylate) glue, can be used to glue copper, however, it  would not be the first choice.

We typically suggest either one of our acrylic adhesive, which develop handling strengths in either minutes or hours, and offer very high structural strength after full cure.

The second option is epoxy resin. It is an excellent industrial adhesive characterized by a non-critical mixing ratio. It is ideally suited to applications in electronics, and light general product assembly.

Both adhesive types will cure rapidly in thin films at low temperatures.

Sealing copper joints is also possible using our industrial sealants. These sealants are available in either cartridge or foil packaging, and are applied using a standard caulk guns. These sealants carry full food & beverage approval and are extensively used in the brewing & allied sectors.

Cross bonding copper to other materials, such as wood, plastics or composite materials is possible, the deciding factor being the nature of second material.

Our copper bonding materials can accommodate all of your copper bonding needs. For all copper bonding or sealing applications, contact our applications laboratory.
