Super Glue

CA BottlesCyanoacrylate adhesives  (superglue) is the most famous and widespread of all the large family of adhesives which we have on our range. They are very clean to use and very easy to apply. They allow the manufacturer to position and fix parts rapidly and with the use of one of our cyanoacrylate primers, very high strength bond lines can be achieved with ease. They are particularly suitable for spot-bonding on non porous surfaces such as rubbers, plastics & metals. These superglues are available all over Ireland.

We have a range of products from highly resistant cyanoacrylates with a short curing time to new cyanoacrylates that are modified to make them more flexible but with longer curing times. Our products are not the same as the products available in shops. These products are made from speciality monomers which give the end user the strength and performance required. Depending on the final application, they are used in hundreds of applications in the engineering & general manufacturing sector. They differentiate in several ways, in particular viscosity (from water thin wicking grades to high viscosity pastes). Some are designed to have excellent gap filling properties! Some of our products show exceptional adhesion to natural rubber and speciality synthetic elastomers (PTFE, POM or silicone) and some are very good on plastics or metals.

Cyanoacrylate chemistry is one of our specialities and we have the capability to blend and modify any of our cyanoacrylate adhesives to suite specific applications or needs.

X25 A high viscosity adhesive designed for use where gap filling is important and also where the materials being bonded are absorbent. Typically used in all general purpose manufacturing. It finds widespread use in fabricating electronic components, leather and rubber trims and it is also suitable for bonding ceramics.

Gluing Viton with X65

Amedium viscosity surface insensitive adhesive with ultra fast cure speed and very high final cure strength. Used in the general manufacturing sector. It has particular application in light manufacturing such as bonding leather and fabrics. It is also suitable for use in the hobby/prototyping sector where it is used to bond polystyrene, PU resin and balsa wood. It is also suitable for bonding various metals and rubbers.

X180 A rapid curing mitre kit. It is a rapid cure bond system which cuts down dramatically on mitre assembly bonding times when compared to conventional wood adhesives. The gel formulation & low substrate soak-in, give greater bond strength than conventional cyanoacrylates on porous surfaces. Typically used in the woodworking sector. It is commonly used in all cornice and profile mitres, trims, picture frames, MDF, skirting and architrave joints. It also finds common use in worktop end strips, uPVC trims etc.
  X190 A medium viscosity rubber toughened grade with excellent temperature & impact resistance. The product exhibits low bloom properties. Finds very widespread use in bonding a very wide range of rubbers such as nitrile, Viton ®, polychloroprene (Neoprene®) & natural rubber. Various plastics such as ABS, PVC and polyacetal are quite suitable for use. The product is also suitable for bonding many metals including aluminium, copper, brass, mild & stainless steel.
X195 A high viscosity, high strength adhesive designed for use in bonding electric components. The product exhibits very fast cure properties with excellent immediate tack properties. Used as a tack adhesive in the electronics sector. The adhesive is typically used to tack wires and small components in the fabrication of electronic devices. It is also used to bond edge stiffeners to printed circuit boards. The product may also be used to bond certain plastics such as ABS, PVC & Polycarbonate.
X200 A high viscosity rubber toughened flexible adhesive with excellent shock & temperature resistance. Typically used in all general purpose manufacturing. The adhesive finds widespread use in bonding general purpose rubber trims and it is also suitable for bonding ceramics. It also finds very widespread use in bonding speciality rubbers such as nitrile, Viton® & polychloroprene (Neoprene®). Various plastics such as ABS, PVC and Makrolon® are quite suitable for use. The product is also suitable for bonding many metals including aluminium & mild steel.
X205 A low viscosity rubber toughened grade with excellent resistance humidity. The product has excellent heat resistance. Typically used in all general purpose manufacturing. It finds widespread use in bonding general purpose rubber trims and it is also suitable for bonding ceramics. It also finds very widespread use in bonding speciality rubbers such as nitrile, Viton® & polychloroprene (Neoprene® ) Various plastics such as ABS, PVC and Makrolon®  are quite suitable for use. The product is also suitable for bonding many metals including aluminium & mild steel.
X210 A low viscosity wicking adhesive with excellent cure speed and very high final cure strength. Finds very widespread use in bonding rubbers such as nitrile, Viton®   polychloroprene (Neoprene®) or natural rubber. Various plastics such as ABS, PVC and polyacetal are quite suitable for use. The product finds particular use in the prototype/modelling sector. The product has a particular application in the in the construction of architectural models and scale model construction kits.

Don’t forget, superglue bonds skin instantly! Do not wear cotton gloves when using superglue as the fibres will react to the glue causing heat to build up!

Superglue is best stored in a fridge for optimum shelf-life. Keep the cap on the bottle when not in use!
